Stay away from places that sell COMIDA MAXICANA, It's almost mexicana but not quite the same.
Also the football they show there is not what you think, theirs is maxicano just like their food.

L.A. County Fair 2008
After a lifetime in this town we finally made it to it's fair mainly because Chicho (That's the most senior member of the Gonzalez clan), said He wanted to go there before He died and even though He's been dying for the last 20 years I figured it couldn't be that bad. I still believe Magic Mountain is king but the fair was actually fun.

I don't wanna go to schoooool!
What for? I already know what I want to be.
That's what these pictures seem to imply.
I guess my hopes of Luca going to college to become a freedom fighter in some oppressed land far away are now destroyed.
I may have to settle for a mechanic whom instead of costing money on tuition and books is going to fix our cars and bikes free of charge.
May not be so bad after all.

Update on Lucas' bad behavior.
On this entry I told you about the accusations hanging over his shoulders.
After exhaustive investigations I have this to report.
On Monday, September 8 2008, He was taken to school for the first time in his life. As you can see in the following picture He was a little confused.
After examining the room from a safe distance He quickly decides to investigate further.
So far so good.
Everyone goes to work. I keep my phone in my hand and wait for the school officials to call to tell me I have to go get him (I know my son, and know He may break a computer or something).
Time went by and the call never came and I was relieved and very proud of le garçon. Right around the time when I had actually forgotten about him having gone to school and all, the phone rings. It's Katya (as in my sister) and she tells me that apparently Lucas had been punished for slapping some little boy in class. When she got there however Lucas was lounging on a couch as if nothing ever happened.
It did not go beyond that, and He has not done it again which is great.
I must say in his defense that I kind of understand him, Let's not forget He's been an only child for his entire life and he's not keen on sharing(sharing may be the key word here), otherwise He's a very loving boy.
I don't think The Luca is Ga-Ga about school just yet but at least He's getting used to the idea.
Let's hope.

Sunday at LACMA
There's a lot going on at LACMA these days.
We decided to go yesterday because Lucas has of late become a member(He'll be one until he's 18) and can bring a buddy in with him for free. That buddy is obviously yours truly.
Yesterday however, we had to bring "La mama" mainly because she's the one who associated him with this fine establishment.
We thought He was not going to like it. the pictures contradict our fears. at first he even put an apron on to paint, but since he's more in the construction for the sake of destruction business, he quickly gave up his brush and palette.
Take your kids now!
